Dr. Michael Smith is the finest gastroenterologist I know and I have seen many. The reason is simple. Once a year I would go for an endoscopy and given pepcid. One visit to Dr. Michael Smith and an endoscopy turned up Barretts (pre cursor to cancer) with no dysplaysia ( growths) I am having an operation which will ensure that my hiatal hernia will be fixed eliminating the need for Prilosec 40mg/day. Much more than that is the peace of mind knowing this issue can be resolved without medication monthly and the risk of cancer of the esophagus is reduced substantially. Thank you Dr. Smith and his incredible team for keeping me healthy. Sincerely Barbara Steinberg
