Dr. Weitzen is simply AMAZING! When my mom was admitted to Phelps Memorial Hospital and it was determined she needed to have a complex operation due to her cancer, Dr. Weitzen was there for her and our family! His professionalism and kindness cannot be understated. Dr. Weitzen operated on mom with with his colleague, Dr. Lau, saving her life. Words cannot express the gratitude we feel. We highly recommend Dr. Weitzen and the Hudson Valley Surgical Group. Hands down, the best care you can get!

What’s a board certification and why is it important that my provider has one?

A board certification represents a provider’s dedication to ongoing training in one or more specialties, including the completion of intensive exams. While not all specialties have board certifications, if your provider does have one they’ve taken the extra step to master their specialty and to keep up with the latest advancements in their field.
