I needed to accept the fact that there was absolutely no cartilage remaining in both of my knees. As they say, “you know when it is time” for total knee replacement surgery. I was super fortunate to be in the care of Dr. Michael Ziegele. He is more than a skilled surgeon who always took the time to make sure I was comfortable with this major decision & took time to listen & gave me the opportunity to ask plenty of questions. The entire team made me feel like I was a special patient & not just a person being “herded” in & out. Since I own a business I needed to be back on my feet quickly & my recovery exceeded all of my expectations. When someone tells me they need a total knee replacement surgery I quickly respond “What are you waiting for? Get it done & it’s not as rough as people tell you it will be.” And don’t forget to trust your care to Dr. Ziegele!
