My 96 yrs old Mother with advanced Dementia, was sent to the ER to receive her IV antibiotics to treat a months-long UTI by her skilled care nursing home which refused to do so when my Mother objected. Dr. Tom treated her and advised how to discuss this issue regarding our durable power of attorney with her facility. Excellent care and understanding provided by Dr. Tom for the complexities involved for both patient and family. Dr. Tom, thank you for your lifetime!
