Patient Reviews
Oct 28, 2024
I was referred to Dr Lugo after a failed DSAEK in my left eye. I was diagnosed with Fuch's. The surgeon was not at any fault, just the donor tissue did not wake up. And this surgeon was leaving. Dr Lugo redid that transplant and my vision cleared up fast. He is very clear in his explanations and makes you feel comfortable with all processes. His staff is also amazing. This was sone in April 2024 and we knew my right eye would be would be needing this as well. He coordinated with the opthalmologist doing the cataract surgery (Dr Harry Pappas) and my right eye procedure was done October 18 using DMEK and the eye is clearing up fast. I highly recommend Dr Lugo if you have any cornea issue - You will not regret this decision..

What’s a board certification and why is it important that my provider has one?

A board certification represents a provider’s dedication to ongoing training in one or more specialties, including the completion of intensive exams.
