I first met her when my mother was diagnosed & she gave us a lot of information & was empathetic. 18 months after my mother lost her fight (she opted out of surgery) I was back with my own diagnosis. Dr. Reschke again full explained all the options & listened all my concerns. She didn't try to convince me one way or the other. When it came time for surgery she asked me to pick a song that inspired & made me feel powerful (to play while I was going under) & I cannot tell you how much that means to a patient & what it does to the mindset. She got all of it with clean, wide margins (enough that I no longer needed radiation). She also didn't take more than necessary (only took 2 slightly suspicious lymph nodes--turned out clear), I know some surgeons take them just to be sure regardless. So I recommend her to anyone entering the breast cancer ring. She's who I'd want in my corner.
