I went to the ED of Provident San Pedro on Oct 8th for elevated blood pressure accompanied by one sided headache. I have not been diagnosed as hypertensive, nor do I have any other medical condition that I have been diagnosed with. I was worried because I come from a family of stroke survivors & some are already dead. Dr. Shaw was personable & was crystal clear on explaining my test results & what I need to do after I get discharged. I left the ED with no worries. I am a Registered Nurse in my home country & because of this, I am more observant of health care practitioners than an average person. I would also like to commend Tia Marashlian, the Physician Assistant who attended to me that day. She looked young yet her demeanor tells me she will be a very good future MD!
