Initially I was assigned a different surgeon who really feels that women will be unhappy going flat vs getting a breast implant after cancer. I had real concerns about implants that he wasn't concerned about. I requested another surgeon and was fortunate to be transferred to Dr. Minh-Doan Nguyen for my surgery. At our first meeting, I showed Dr. Nguyen pictures of "bad" surgical results and pictures of the smooth, clean results that I wanted to "go flat" without an implant. Dr. Nguyen quickly grasped what I was asking and agreed to do her best. Her best was really EXCELLENT! I healed quickly and am so happy with having a flat smooth side with no worries of new tumors that might be hiding under or around an implant.
