I was acutely ill and was hospitalized. Within 1 day, my self identity drastically changed from a proud daily 5-mile-runner-physician to a cancer patient with a concerning oncological condition. I met Dr. Hellmann during my 3-day hospital stay. She went beyond the extra thousand miles to efficiently coordinate with all hospital specialists, and ensured my complex workup & all procedures were complete. Her physician-patient humanistic interactions with me have been phenomenally anxiety-relieving. As aftercare, I am 100% comforted knowing she is now my gynecologist-surgeon, to walk with me side by side during my health journey.
