Though I could not get his care for my painful and unexpected retinal surgery due to Kaiser’s unfriendly policies that did not allow me to go with his care despite my case was not critical and was well qualified to wait for few months to let his schedule open for me (the detachment that was sustained for years could have sustained for few more weeks/months) but I was truly impressed with his knowledge, care, sense of dedication and humanity after going through with him on pre-surgery second opinion, post-surgery care, referral from his past patients. I was operated by another surgeon in Kaiser and am still suffering with complications that originated from imperfect surgery. With all my experience with him on whatever interactions, encounters, feedbacks I could have, I truly believe my surgery complications could have been very well avoided, had I been provided the opportunity to go with him for surgery.
