Patient Reviews
Nov 11, 2023
My wife went to the ER on three separate occasions, complaining about pain, an inability to swallow and serious weight loss. My wife is uninsured. The first ER we went to, said she has GERDs and kicked her out. The second one, basically said the same thing, but she should see a GI doctor, then kicked her to the curb. The last time we went to Robert Plant in New Port Richey. We were told they may or may not be able to find a GI Doctor willing to do an endoscopy, because of the insurance issue. Dr Kaif was willing. He found esophageal cancer. It was confirmed w a biopsy that he performed. The other doctors were willing to send my wife on her way to die...I believe, at least, suspecting the diagnosis. We're moving in the right direction because Dr Kaif was willing. Thank you, Doctor. And God bless you.

What’s a board certification and why is it important that my provider has one?

A board certification represents a provider’s dedication to ongoing training in one or more specialties, including the completion of intensive exams. While not all specialties have board certifications, if your provider does have one they’ve taken the extra step to master their specialty and to keep up with the latest advancements in their field.
