I had been living with a chronic problem where my uvula would become swollen and irritated to the point where it would block my trachea. I would have to lay with my head down to have my uvula lay on the roof of my mouth to clear the windpipe just to be able to breathe! Swallowing was also very difficult. It would sometimes last for several days. Very scary condition to have! Several doctors visits over the years had told me there was nothing they could do. On my first visit to Dr. Chan, she suggested we remove the uvula. Brilliant! That's what I had been hoping for! Surgery went well, recovery was simple and I have been without a breathing problem for five years now. I'm very happy with Dr. Chan and her entire staff! I can't thank her enough!
