Patient Reviews

Blessedly - I have NEVER had ANY previous surgical procedures OR needed to stay IN a hospital, but my experience meeting with Dr. Pianim about my condition ASSUAGED my CONCERNS about surgery. The mere fact of HOW calmly, kindly AND with compassion that she described to me the WHAT, HOW, and WHY she would be PERFORMING the procedure (and that it was a big surgery, but she felt COMFORTABLE in her ability) which allowed me to be confident all would be well shows that she should TEACH a 'Master Class' in bedside manners. What a REMARKABLE individual that Kaiser has in the Harbor City facility; I am so PROUD and HONORED to give the highest recommendation for the SKILL level that Dr. Pianim presents. Not only is there TALENT, but also friendliness AND an automatic 'put-one-at-ease' FEELING. Thank you for performing MY surgery and for being available w/your 'healing hands' for to help OTHERS. You are APPRECIATED.

What’s a board certification and why is it important that my provider has one?

A board certification represents a provider’s dedication to ongoing training in one or more specialties, including the completion of intensive exams. While not all specialties have board certifications, if your provider does have one they’ve taken the extra step to master their specialty and to keep up with the latest advancements in their field.
