After a thorough exam, Dr. Berry recommended the LALs to treat my cataracts and after much research, I agreed that they were the best option for me. My astigmatism was bad and after having LASIK surgery in 1998, it seemed likely that my corneal topography and irregularities caused from the LASIK reshaping would be pretty severe. A big factor for me was that I wanted to have both near and far vision so that I could drive, play pickleball and tennis, plus read and do my puzzles and crafts without the need for glasses. The LALs offered these possibilities, and I liked the fact that Dr. Berry would be able to fine tune them after surgery based on the personal visual outcome that I wanted. My criteria for an eye surgeon: he or she had to have expertise performing cataract surgeries; they had to perform all of the follow-up and laser adjustments and be kind and caring. Dr. Berry checked all of the boxes. Thanks to Dr. Berry, my vision is 20-20 and no reading glasses are needed!
