I beg to differ with negative responses with Dr Rial. This afternoon. He gave caring, confirming counsel to a patient, my adult son, providing timely counsel, fully acknowledging my son’s concerns, yet confirming my son’s ability to choose for himself the option. I was present over the phone listening to the entire conversation. To my knowledge Dr Rial was unaware I was listening in. I found Dr Rial to be calm, caring, and clear explaining the options. He set forth his recommendation, listened with empathy to my son’s concern, and displayed exceptional patient concern, the end result being my son rethought his options and chose to move forward with Dr. Rial’s recommendation. I speak nor only as a concerned parent, but for the last 40 years I have served as Sr. Pastor in a local church I visit hospitals regularly and cannot imagine one giving better caring and well-tempered advice then Dr Rial gave to my son!
