Dr Farahmand is by far the best pain management doctor. He is a straight shooter, fully supportive of self-advocation, is experienced in both operating rooms and clinical settings. He is knowledgable, and an excellent communicator, both in explaining my conditions and prognosis and he has a skilled listener. He is conservative in his care, and has helped stabilize my quality of life, and is fully supportive of my PT and chronic pain support group. He is the third pain management I've dealt in the last 8 years, and the third time's the charm! Unlike the UCLA doctor he would never threaten abandonment of care or coerced withdrawal of indicated medications. He knows his patients, procedures, and has excellent rapport with both patients and physicians who are part of my coordinated care team. Unlike other pain management doctors he understands imaging (x-rays, MRI's and CT scans) and the complexities of orthopedic conditions. An excellent physician, and a kind human being.
