How likely are you to recommend Dr. Andruska?
I met him after surgery to clean up some little cancer buggers that the surgeon couldn’t reach. He was very reassuring and carefully described the benefits and potential side-effects of proton. A cancer diagnosis is scary and it’s difficult to understand the medical jargon. However, he was patient, answering my questions and concerns. He listened to me and spent time, NOT rushing out the door as soon as he could, which is unusual. He went the extra mile to squeeze me into the schedule which was most kind, and truly appreciated. He is friendly with a sense of humor, always positive even when the news he’s delivering isn’t so good. He’s approachable and knowledgeable. He knows his stuff and was collaborative with my oncologist, which I really liked. I hope no one ever has to see him because it means you have cancer, but if you need proton radiation, I highly recommend him.
