In January 2018, I was admitted to Desert Regional with renal failure, shock and sepsis, secondary to drug toxicity. She was my attending physician. Her demeanor and concern were every bit as essential to my complete recovery as were any of the varied treatments I underwent. She was my angel, at a time that I needed one. She didn't judge me. She just cared. She visited me multiple times a day, and the morning I was released, she spent time with me, talking frankly about my drug use and how it nearly killed me. And I have been sober since. Dr. Kaul is THE consummate professional, and one of the loveliest people I've ever met. Grateful.
