Patient Reviews
Mar 19, 2024
I had been experiencing increasing problems with hip tendonitis and assumed it was something I'd have to live with. Walking became more difficult and painful, my gait was awkward and climbing stairs was excruciating. My primary care physician referred me to physical therapy and during the course of treatment my PT recommended I seek a referral to Dr. Anastasio. He quickly diagnosed my problem and suggested that he could treat it with a simple, near-painless in-office intervention. The treatment involved using a needle to create new pathways for getting healing blood flow to my scarred and torn tendons. The procedure took just minutes and I drove myself home. Dr. Anastasio told me to continue with PT and to expect healing to take at least three months. I experienced continually diminishing pain, and at the end of three months my pain was largely gone, my walking gait back to normal and stairs no longer intimidating. I am so thankful to no longer

What’s a board certification and why is it important that my provider has one?

A board certification represents a provider’s dedication to ongoing training in one or more specialties, including the completion of intensive exams. While not all specialties have board certifications, if your provider does have one they’ve taken the extra step to master their specialty and to keep up with the latest advancements in their field.
