My 13 year-old son has been with with Dr. Liu for a while now (4 years). My understanding is that different children respond to medication differently. Testing in small doses to see how children would react makes sure the medication doesn't affect sleep, appetite, etc. She also trains children to practice ADHD management habits like timeboxing. My son has seen impressive improvements throughout the years. He can control his ADHD so well now that his peers don't even notice. She has also helped my son get extended time for his exams.

What’s a board certification and why is it important that my provider has one?

A board certification represents a provider’s dedication to ongoing training in one or more specialties, including the completion of intensive exams. While not all specialties have board certifications, if your provider does have one they’ve taken the extra step to master their specialty and to keep up with the latest advancements in their field.
