Patient Reviews
Feb 15, 2025
The reality of rare pediatric cancers is rough: underfunded and under researched! Yet the team at UCLA lead by Dr Noah Federman is nothing but exceptional. It is a daily battle of administering dosages of chemotherapy that could not be tolerated by almost any adult, dealing with side effects that are unique to every single patient. It takes a team, it’s a daily fight, it goes on for months, sometimes for years. At first we all think losing hair is the scary part, then we learn to deal with life threatening fevers, bone pains beyond anything imaginable, crazy nausea, rashes, mouth sores, stomach pains, neuropathy and a fatigue that no sleep can ever cure. Not to mention social isolation, trauma, chemo brain and so many other effects on mental health. Dr. Noah Federman and his team at UCLA was with us every step of the way. Every single day! His outstanding expertise combined with true compassion makes him an exceptional doctor. This world needs more people like him.
