Dr Guzman performed hernia surgery for me and the experience was excellent. I wanted surgery without mesh and he was willing to perform it although it is no longer standard practice. He used the Shouldice repair technique which I also desired since it is the gold standard in hernia repair. The operation was very smooth and I felt almost no pain afterwards. My wife described the suturing as a work of art. Now two weeks later I am feeling great and resuming normal activities. In addition to Dr Guzman's excellent work, his office staff were very friendly and professional and provided me with excellent information on the entire process from making appointments to getting all the necessary tests done in a timely manner. I had delayed hernia surgery for years partly due to fears of pain and possible negative outcomes, but Dr Guzman's positive attitude and experience made this one of the best decisions of my life.
