I live in Ft Wayne, IN and on my second day of vacation at Ft Myers Beach, I jumped off the side of a boat into 1 ft of water (thinking it was 5 ft deep) and snapped my tibia and fibula in my left ankle. I was rushed to Lee Memorial Hospital on Dec 17th, had surgery on Dec 18th, and was released on Dec 19th (my birthday). Dr Leach performed my surgery and did an awesome job. I had a plate with 5 screws put in and am getting along great….no pain at all from the moment it happened to now). It is Feb 21st as of this writing and am now completely off my crutches and gingerly walking on it with my ankle boot support on. I highly recommend Dr Leach and am greatful for the awesome surgical work he did. He spent time with me, explained what exactly he was gonna do, and was very patient with me. I cannot say enough good things about him. You are the best Dr Leach and I thank you very much!
