We provide minimally invasive techniques and the most advanced technology for the ideal treatment and fastest recovery. Urology Specialists of West Florida uses the most advanced robotic-assisted technology. This new technology provides a more precise and less invasive surgery for prostate cancer. This typically reduces the size of the incisions needed and shortens the hospital stay. If we recommend surgery to treat your prostate cancer, you may be a candidate for a new, less invasive approach to surgery called DaVinci Prostatectomy. This approach to prostatectomy provides access to the internal anatomy through five small incisions. The surgeon is empowered to perform a very precise, nerve-sparing operation with the DaVinci Surgical System. For the patient, DaVinci Prostatectomy may result in more complete eradication of cancer, retention of bladder control and potency. We provide minimally invasive therapies for treatment of enlarged prostate (BPH) in men which are non-surgical, office-based procedures that are safe and effective for treating symptoms associated with enlarged prostate. Most people resume normal activities within 24 hours. These are: Prostiva Transurethral Needle Ablation of the Prostate (TUNA? Therapy), Transurethral Microwave Treatment (TUMT) and Coetherm.
