How likely are you to recommend Dr. Yau?
Dr. Yau replaced my hip about a year ago. Due to a torn labrum, born spurs, and arthritis, I experienced restricted movement in my normal walking gait and was quickly headed to a noticeable limp. Physical therapy was not effective in re-gaining my full range of motion. Being an avid hiker and enjoying 'yard work' my quality of life was being negatively impacted. Dr. Yau and his staff explained what to expect with surgery, explained the risks, told me what to expect post-surgery and answered my questions. The surgery was out-patient and I was walking with a walker the same day. His staff followed up with calls during those initial weeks. Physical therapy was not fun, but putting in the work made for a fairly quick recovery. I'm happy that I had the procedure and would certainly recommend Dr. Yau for those entertaining a new hip and an improved quality of daily life.
