Dr. Kogan and his staff are very competent and thorough. I was able to make an appointment and get scheduled for my surgery quickly and was in and out of the operating room in record time. However, getting a stent placed and a camera scope up your ureter along with lasers to destroy kidney stones is painful. The aftermath is painful - and I am supposed to remove my own stent! Yeah that will be painful too - I was not sent home with any pain meds and told to take OTC meds for pain. OTC meds do not help AT ALL. Was told I could go back to work the next day - WRONG! This really hurts - I can't go back to work - I can barely think with the pain. Make sure you get pain meds and don't believe anyone when they say you can just go back to work - NO YOU CAN'T! Would have been a 5 star review if a realistic pain and recovery expectation had been set and if I had been given pain meds. I could have taken more time off from work but now they are expecting me in the office
