Patient Reviews

Paul Armistead is a compassionate and kind transplant physician who is a trained chemist as well as a hematology oncologist and transplanter. He has shepherded my survival of AML leukemia through the process of an allogeneic bone marrow transplant. He works at UNC and the clinic and in-patient facilities here are first rate. Everyone works together to provide the best health care possible. Thank you Dr. Armistead.

What’s a board certification and why is it important that my provider has one?

A board certification represents a provider’s dedication to ongoing training in one or more specialties, including the completion of intensive exams. While not all specialties have board certifications, if your provider does have one they’ve taken the extra step to master their specialty and to keep up with the latest advancements in their field.
