Dr. Signorino is a competent, excellent surgeon. But he also showed such kindness and compassion for me that I must call him the best of the best. I went to him with a cancer diagnosis, and at my first appointment, he gave me all the time I needed, explaining many aspects of my diagnosis to me. He did not just tell me the 5 year survival rate for those in my situation, but he also wrote that statistic down on paper and held the paper up for me to look at. I felt as if he was emphasizing to me, both in verbal and written form, that I had reason to feel positive and confident. It made me think of how they say that various individuals learn in different ways, and he was bothering to teach me, in more than one learning style, that I could leave his office feeling hopeful and confident. Can you imagine how much this meant to me, having had a scary cancer diagnoses only a few days earlier? That is just one caring detail in the care Dr. Signorino gave me. There were many other simila
