I saw Dr. Shatz for extractions recently. My experience was very positive. He explained my procedure and answered questions. Dr. Shatz was very professional and courteous. He started an IV in my arm and I didn’t even feel it! Also, he numbed my mouth gently and without pain. The numbing medication was more than sufficient for the extensive treatment (multiple extractions and implant placements. He even re-medicated/ numbed my mouth to prevent any possible breakthrough pain due to the surgery being lengthy. I felt like I was in the care of a brilliant, gentle and kind surgeon. He needed to place a larger implant due to some movement after he had begun a procedure on another patient. Without hesitation he switched out the implant and took care of my needs. I would absolutely recommend Dr. Shatz to anyone needing extensive dental surgery. I had light conscious sedation but on hindsight would have been fine without it because he was so great at numbing my mouth!
