Patient Reviews
Apr 06, 2024
As usual my most recent appointment with Dr. Eckman was thorough, helpful and gave me instructions on medications to use, and what tests would be part of my upcoming plan for continuing my medical care.I am in advanced Heart Failure as a result of having Rheumatic Fever when I was about 13 years old. I've been treated by Dr. Eckman since 2015; when Dr. Eckman became my cardiologist I was in Advanced Congestive Heart Failure with difficulty breathing. I'm certain he (and most doctors) did not expect me to be alive and functioning in 2024. But thanks to his care and plan to have a pacemaker installed. I outlived the battery of that device, and had an 'updated' model of my defibrillating pacemaker installed in 2023. My heart feels like I remember back in 1992 or earlier... still ticking and almost always pain free.

Board Certifications
What’s a board certification and why is it important that my provider has one?

A board certification represents a provider’s dedication to ongoing training in one or more specialties, including the completion of intensive exams. While not all specialties have board certifications, if your provider does have one they’ve taken the extra step to master their specialty and to keep up with the latest advancements in their field.
