We were referred to Dr. Grote by a close friend when I was pregnant with my first child more than 19 years ago. It felt like SUCH an important decision at the time (and clearly was). Nearly 20 years later, he continues to be our family doctor and has seen us through the best and most challenging of times. He has been with us through every phase of our two daughters' emotional and physical development, is a trusted and knowledgeable source of referrals when we need to see specialists, and is my primary doctor (I guess we're all watching each other age ;) ). It will be a very sad day if/when Dr. Grote chooses to retire. I doubt we could find someone as amicable (VERY important), trustworthy (he actually listens and follows up), and knowledgable. In fact, I'm pushing that thought right out of my mind...
