Peter has been my primary health care physician for over twenty years. In that time he has displayed what I most seek in my doctor: knowledge- he is extremely about all sorts of conditions and treatments and never hesitates to say, "I don't know. Let me learn about this and get back to you." He is exceptionally patient with an old man's unending complaints and confusions. He has a deft blend of relaxed humor but also complete seriousness when that's appropriate. I have never ever reached out to him without hearing back in a few hours. This kind of attention is very reassuring. And he embodies the cliche (but still the heart and soul) of treating the whole patient. I never feel like a body that is being diagnosed and treated. Everything is done in the context of my body as part of my life projects and activities. He's there to keep me healthy, but also to help me facilitate my desires and goals in life. I can't recognize Peter highly enough.
