BS"D. My daughter was a patient at Westchester Medical Center and was diagnosed with GBS. She did not respond to tradition treatments including IVIG and Plasmapheresis. Dr Overby was incredibly concerned about her recovery and read up on many cases of GBS worldwide and found a case of a 24 year old French woman who had GBS for two years and finally responded to a non-traditional therapy that was high dose pulsed IV methyl prednisolone (a corticosteroid). My daughter was at Westchester Medical Center from March 9th to April 20th, 1999 and had amazing improvement after this methyl prednisolone therapy going on to a complete recovery after physical therapy. She is now married with an 8 month old baby boy. Thank you Dr. Overby.
