My 97 year old Mother, was Dr Shands patient, from Kaiser to Healthspan to MetroHealth. He is The Ultimate Professional! He explains your condition and what treatments are available . You know how you are doing and what to expect. Always giving you his undivided attention. Thoroughly Examining you himself every visit , informing you of the goals for treatment. Telling you your options, if their are any. As his history states “ The Best Of The Very Best “

What’s a board certification and why is it important that my provider has one?

A board certification represents a provider’s dedication to ongoing training in one or more specialties, including the completion of intensive exams. While not all specialties have board certifications, if your provider does have one they’ve taken the extra step to master their specialty and to keep up with the latest advancements in their field.
