Dr. Tumula is a very special, caring, intelligent person. I was a patient at UTSW Dallas for over a year. I went to MD Anderson for an option of treatment. I was unable to toluate the dosage of Targeted Therapy medication MDA prescribed. Dr. Tumula adjusted the dosage extremely and it has worked on the cancer and I can toluate the dosage. He truly listens to the patient and what you are going through. He deeply cares and it shows. Out of five oncologist that I have seen, he is by far the best and certainly my very favorite as a person and doctor.Texas Oncology needs to improve their way of scheduling appointments. It's easier to schedule an appointment before a person leaves the building instead of getting a note in the mail 2 weeks plus later, costing postage and relying on the postal system. During that period schedules can change and will not be available when Tx Oncology offered a time. Then the patient has to call and reschedule. All requiring extra time on everyone's part.
