I saw two doctors about the same knee issue, a few weeks apart. The 1st gave me less than 10 minutes and basically said come back when I need surgery and wouldn't order knee x-rays. Dr. Brakke gave me more time and was much more interested in what was going on with me. She offered to x-ray my knees and went over the results. It was one of the best specialist visits I've ever had. She cares and it shows; my copay was well worth it. I wish I had gone someplace else to get the x-rays. I was charged more for the x-rays than I would have been charged at any of the other doctor's offices that I was considering. I wasn't able to find estimates for getting them associated with her, but I figured 'how much more could it be, considering prices at several other places were consistent with each other.' Not only were the x-rays far more expensive, I was charged a separate fee by the radiologist! I'd go back to her, but wouldn't get any tests done there. Charged by UC Health; was down hall from her.
