Patient Reviews
Oct 06, 2024
My cardiologist found that I had a bicuspid aortic valve with severe regurgitation, an ascending aortic aneurysm, and an enlarged heart. I was very nervous when I heard I would need open heart surgery at just 42 years old with my wife and young children depending on me. He introduced me to Dr. Veeragandham, and I couldn't be more grateful that he did. What struck me first about Dr. Veeragandham, and has not left me since, is his kind and gentle character. He strikes me as a good, humble man. He was very patient with all my nervous questions and explained everything to my satisfaction. He and his team performed a bicuspid aortic valve repair (not replacement), and replaced my ascending aorta with a synthetic graft. It's been 3 and a half months since the operation, and I'm already fully back at my physically strenuous job and going hard again at the gym. I trust Dr. Veeragandgam and I don't say that lightly. I will be forever grateful for the extension on life he has given me.
