Dr. Ravi performed ACDF (Anterior Cervical Discectomy and Fusion) surgery in late June on my husband after reviewing his MRI that showed impingement of C5-7 on his spine. In March 2020 he had an emergency surgery at a different hospital on his C2-4 which left him with poor balance, lower back pain, and the need for a standard walker despite 4 years of PT. His condition had begun to deteriorate further when we went to see Dr. Ravi. He recommended the ACDF surgery,which was performed at Mercy Hospital, and it was very successful in improving balance and eliminating the lower back pain. Dr. Ravi's surgical skills and standard of care have been outstanding throughout this experience. His care team, and that of the hospital, were excellent. It was recommended that he go to a rehab facility to help with his recovery, followed by home health care provided by Applied Home Health. He is now ready for outpatient PT and we are looking forward to continued progress.
