Dr Garrett treated me in 1989 for the scariest disease I have ever encountered, Guillain Barre Syndrome. His calm demeanor was incredibly reassuring. Plasmapheresis was relatively new at the time. The day after starting treatment I could feel nerve loss stopping and reversing. He visited me in the hospital at all hours and would stay and talk for a long time. Wonderful person as well as wonderful doctor. I can't thank him enough.
