I received excellent treatment for my bunion from Dr. Regina Fiacco and I highly recommend her! She was very informative before surgery, and I appreciated the level of experience she had with newer procedures. She performed a Lapidus bunionectomy also called the first tarsometatarsal joint fusion on my right foot. I appreciated her caring bedside manner. I was very impressed with how much contact she kept with me directly after the surgery. I felt she was very accessible and responsive. I followed the rules for recovery and also ate healthy and took a lot of vitamin supplements both weeks before the surgery and during the months after. Physical Therapy also helped. Every medical person that has looked at my foot has been very impressed with the surgery and how well the scarring has healed. Touching the outside of my foot, I don't feel any of the implants, nor the scar over them. At 4 and a half months Dr Fiacco, has given me the OK to return to full activities. I am very grateful.
