Amazing bedside manner, truly listened, comprehensive exam, took his own notes, he cared. He spent more than an hour and 1/2 face time asking questions, etc--never felt rushed. He even found time in his busy schedule to be present during my orthodontic evaluation, as he stresses a collaborative treatment plan. Rather than getting on idea in his head about the case and going with it, he is going above and beyond to consult with colleagues, gain more information, and keep me in the loop. After years of seeing dismissive, rushed, defensive providers, who were often straight up rude and unapologetically unhelpful, dismissive, and/ or provided services beyond their means (leaving me to suffer consequences), I feel 100% safe in the hands of Dr. Derksen and the team he has created. They have all gone above and beyond. Dr. Derksen brought me hope in what can be done for me, hope I thought I'd lost forever. I'm forever grateful for his professionalism and compassion.
