Patient Reviews
Aug 13, 2022
LEAGUE CITY, TX (YEAR 2022) Dr. Richard Lu is a very patient-oriented hernia expert. Clearly very respected by his peers in the office and his trainees. As far as bedside manner, he wants to hear your questions! He's very matter-of-fact, very easy to talk to. Very willing to tell you if it's in your best interest to have surgery (in my case, not!) Never expected a doctor at a major institution to be this invested in his patient's stories/history. NOTE: I saw Dr. Lu at UTMB in League City, outside of Houston, which is mentioned in this doctor's profile. If this listing is in fact a different doctor, currently in MD... perhaps disregard!

Board Certifications
What’s a board certification and why is it important that my provider has one?

A board certification represents a provider’s dedication to ongoing training in one or more specialties, including the completion of intensive exams. While not all specialties have board certifications, if your provider does have one they’ve taken the extra step to master their specialty and to keep up with the latest advancements in their field.
