During a stay in Carmel at the beginning of a summer road trip, an existing knee issue had gotten worse and I could hardly walk. I had it checked at home before leaving and was told it was nothing serious and I just needed to rest. On June 12 I searched for doctors in the Monterey area and came across Dr Dauphine. After seeing that his credentials and reviews were outstanding, I called his office and was able to get in that day. My husband and I were immediately impressed with his professionalism, concern and kindness. After 30 minutes of examining me, asking questions and making notes, he was fairly certain I had a torn meniscus. He sent me for an MRI which confirmed the tear, then went over a few options. We all agreed the best option would be a partial meniscectomy and I was scheduled for June 22. All went well, I was walking within a day and we were able to continue our trip up to Canada. It has been 4 weeks and I am able to walk all over Vancouver and have Dr Dauphine to thank!!
