Little bit of preface context, I have a fear of needles and hospitals, coupled with horrible anxiety daily. Ended up having to go to the ER a month and a half(ish) back, gallstones. A couple weeks later comes surgery day and during pre-op appointment with Dr. Goriparthi he explains in very good and easy to understand ways what the surgery will be, how it will be performed, and he even drew out a diagram on a white board to help further explain it. Unknown to him at the time I'm more of a visual or hands on learner so that small little gesture meant a lot and eased a lot of those concerns before I could even voice them. I'm now coming up on a month or so post-op and I honestly feel great, I'm eating relatively normal again but low fats, the first week and a half wasn't great but it's the first surgery I've ever had. Dr. Goriparthi is not only an amazing surgeon but he's also an amazing, and patient focused, doctor. I would recommend him to anyone in the area, especially for gallbladder removal!
