I had bunion and toe surgery the traditional way before and I cannot rave about Dr. Robert Kirell enough! The surgery, done under local anesthesia, is painless and for me, nearly so was the recovery. By that I mean, there were slight intimations of pain once the anesthesia wore off, and I took a total of 2 OTC painkillers for the next two days. That's it. Drd. Kirell fixed a painful hammer toe and removed a bunion. I was walking immediately on the foot, if taking a little care the first week to not overdo it. Slight swelling of the hammer toe but none of the rest of the foot. He explains everything extremely well, as do his printed papers he gives you. What's a crime is that the profession here in America is so slow to adopt this new simple surgery while it is done more in Europe. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
