I was in The Villages Hospital for a week+:in ReHab after severe spinal surgery at Shands (23 Staples down my back). The pain was horrific plus I developed a bladder infection, which can certainly impair Physical Therapy (lol). Dr Maiello Listens! Even at 6am he would patiently answer my written & endless questions. I sense he’s experienced deep physical pain from occasionally seeing a posture suggesting spinal fusion. Perhaps this is why he is so sensitive to blinding acute pain. The PT group he oversees are multi-trained wonders who tirelessly work to get you back on your feet and better than you were before your accident or surgery. I would never want to go elsewhere … the care and philosophy under Dr Maiella is amazing
