Patient Reviews
Jul 20, 2024
After having a stationary black spot appear in my eye a year ago and getting two different diagnoses from another doctor during visits one year apart, I felt that I needed a second opinion. Dr Mason was very thorough in his exam and imaging. He confirmed that both previously diagnosed conditions exist and determined which one is causing the black spot. He also discovered some macular degeneration. He explained these conditions well and suggested things that I myself can do to prevent further damage. Dr. Mason seems to be very knowledgeable, thorough, and confident (without being arrogant). He is willing to answer questions and does not make you feel rushed. All of the staff were friendly and very proficient. I will be following up with Dr Mason at least annually now.

What’s a board certification and why is it important that my provider has one?

A board certification represents a provider’s dedication to ongoing training in one or more specialties, including the completion of intensive exams. While not all specialties have board certifications, if your provider does have one they’ve taken the extra step to master their specialty and to keep up with the latest advancements in their field.
