I was only a child (age 15, in 2003) when I started seeing Dr. Burke. We were referred to him after a failed knee operation when I was 12 years old. I could barley walk without collapsing at the time I met him. He performed 2 Tbial Transpositions, one on each knee. I am living proof of his amazing work. I am 30 years old now and even though I will always have knee problems, I had no life before. Since him, I have swam competitively, ran in races, and triathalons. He saved me.

What’s a board certification and why is it important that my provider has one?

A board certification represents a provider’s dedication to ongoing training in one or more specialties, including the completion of intensive exams. While not all specialties have board certifications, if your provider does have one they’ve taken the extra step to master their specialty and to keep up with the latest advancements in their field.
