My appendix had ruptured. I was still a college student at Montclair State with no net worth and had to go on charity care which reduced my bull to a couple of thousand dollars, which I paid off later in small increments. When my temp spiked, they ruched me in to surgery at the (old) Alexian Brothers' Hospital (now replaced by Trinitas) in Elizabeth, down from Montclair where I lived at the time. The surgical nurse commented that my case was the 'worst [she had] ever seen!!' I was 25 then. Now I'm 64 thanks to Dr. Colaco's fine work. Thank you Doctor Colaco!
