Every other dentist said I would definitely need a root canal. But the root was fine. I just wanted a build up and crown. I clearly did not need a root canal. I had no pain at all. The tooth had a crack and all food would get lodged there every time I ate. It was very annoying and I was afraid the rest of the tooth would crack off. My previous dentist refused to put a filling in my wisdom tooth. He said it had to come out. Emblem health’s dental plan refused to put permission to remove the wisdom tooth. They wanted it to be filled. I told the insurance he said no it needs to come out. My point is that wisdom tooth was helping this tooth stay in tact. After being forced to remove the wisdom tooth that only needed a filling the other tooth now took a beating because I didn’t have that strong large wisdom tooth anymore to chew on. Dentistry has become a specialty that is for the young us older folks cannot get good care. My adult children have excellent dental plans
